It appears LeBron thinks about what could have been as well when it comes to prior dunk contests.

LeBron, who has never competed in the NBA dunk contest before, has regrets about not doing so.

In an interview with his old Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade, LeBron talked about not competing in the dunk contests and if he had any regrets about not doing so.

"It’s been some years where I said I was going to do it and didn’t do it. And then actually watching the dunk contest, I was mad at myself, because I believe it would have been great. Now, at this point, I’m over the hill now. You ain’t going to see my no time soon. It’s over with. It’s been some years where I said I was going to do it and didn’t do it. And then actually watching the dunk contest, I was mad at myself, because I believe it would have been great. Now, at this point, I’m over the hill now. You ain’t going to see my no time soon. It’s over with."

Having the greats out there to prove why they are the best is what the league is about, and LeBron not taking part in one dunk contests has left many people asking, what if?

Now, LeBron admits that he’s probably just a bit too old to compete with the younger players who can get up and get air. You can tell that if LeBron could do it over again, he probably would have competed in one dunk contest.

Or maybe he is just amusing us all.

LeBron is known for putting on shows with his electric dunks on the court and off during practice. Being able to see him throw one down in front of a sold out arena, with the entire world watching on a Saturday night, while he had free reign to do whatever his imagination could think of would have been something else.

However, while LeBron might think he’s too old to compete, if he wanted to give it one shot, the ratings and attention it would receive, would be incredible.

Dreaming is free right?
