It is certainly an intriguing option for plenty of teams that are looking for an extra scoring punch. There are plenty of borderline contenders that could use a player with the skill-set that Crawford possesses. Los Angeles probably won’t accept less than a first-round pick, but that is a very reasonable price for what Crawford would bring to his new team.

So far during the 2014 season, Crawford has averaged 16.0 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game. His shooting percentages have been low at just 39.1 percent from the floor overall and 32.8 percent from behind the three-point arc.

Shooting percentages aren’t usually going to be high for players that play like Crawford. He has the green light to take whatever shot he wants, and they are very difficult shots sometimes. The Clippers would like to acquire Wilson Chandler from the Denver Nuggets ahead of the deadline according to the report, which is another reason that they are shopping Crawford around.

Crawford is 34 years old and still has one more year on his deal following this season. There is no question that he will still be playing at a high level next season, and any team that acquires him will not be disappointed with their bench scoring for the rest of this year and all of next season.

Los Angeles has plenty of scoring power, and adding Chandler would be a better fit for their team. Plenty of teams are looking to add one more piece by the deadline to make themselves a more legitimate playoff contender. Two teams to keep an eye on are the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers, who are both borderline playoff contenders that could use one more piece to make a run.

Expect plenty of rumors to be reported over the next 24 hours. This years trade deadline is going to be extremely busy, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a deal end up happening. Crawford appears to be very available, and it wouldn’t be surprising to hear more rumors surrounding him.
