Joel Embiid is confused by the 76ers moving players at the trade deadline
By Jack Crosby
76ers rookie Joel Embiid has absolutely no idea what is going on with the 76ers at the trade deadline and the man wants some answers
The Philadelphia 76ers were some pretty big movers on the day of the NBA trade deadline, as they moved some pretty prominent pieces, most notably star guard Michael Carter-Williams. One person who was not moved on Thursday was rookie center Joel Embiid, who apparently was not in the loop about any of this.
While he’s prone to making jokes on Twitter a lot, Joel Embiid seems pretty confused about everything that has happened Thursday and he wants some answers from someone.
Of course, while there is the off-chance that he’s being sarcastic, you could see where he would be a little confused about everything that happened during the trade deadline and maybe a bit hurt. This team seemed as of late like they were building for the future, and MCW was a huge part of that. While Embiid probably won’t see the court this season, he had to be looking forward to getting on the floor with his new friend.
Now, things are going to be a bit different in Philadelphia as they continue to build for what they’re hoping will be a monstrous future…whether Embiid agrees with it or not.
