With superstar Chris Bosh now out for the rest of the season, many rumors and angles have been thrown around for the Heat in effort to replace him, including Michael Beasley.

Could the legend known as Pat Riley be conjuring up another plan? We know how famous his well crafted ideas have been in the past: Showtime Lakers; rough and tough Knicks; the Big Three in South Beach.

Is it possible he’s angling for another strong plan?

Doubtful, since Michael Beasley is the name involved.

Ira Winderman, who is perhaps the best in the NBA business, is reporting that Beasley has been spotted working out at the Continental Airlines Arena recently, via the Sun Sentinel.

Now, obviously this is a far stretch from concrete evidence that Riley is officially eyeing Beasley to return to the team, but when our analytical minds start working the probable conclusion becomes less of a doubt.

We know Chris Bosh is now out for the remainder of the season due to blood clots in his lungs. We know that Miami is now in desperate need of a big man coming down the stretch of the regular season as they jockey for Eastern Conference playoff positioning.

We know that Beasley plays the same position as Bosh, the four. We also realize how much untapped potential Beasley could still possibly possess.

Unfortunately though, we also know that the former second overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft is also a complete mess of a human being.

He not only flopped in the association as a player, he failed miserably off the court as a functioning member of society. Drug related arrests, fines, rehab stints, sexual assault claims and even assaulting a fan during a streetball event are only some of the issues that has plagued his life since becoming a professional.

After being let go by the Memphis Grizzlies prior to the beginning of the season, Beasley signed with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) to play ball this year.

Now, it appears a return to Miami could be possible.

His best season came as a third year pro while in Minnesota playing for the Timberwolves. He put up 19.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor.

Whether or not he returns to the NBA will be something to keep an eye on.
