Under new head coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, the Chicago Bears are transitioning to a 3-4 defense. There is no one on the Bears roster that can be classified as a nose tackle; the closest is Stephen Paea, and he’s more easily classified as a strong side end in the 3-4. Shelton both fills a positional need and provides the Bears with a thick run stopper. <p>Chicago’s biggest needs are at defensive back and linebacker, so players like Alabama safety Landon Collins, Clemson linebacker Vic Beasley and Missouri defensive end/linebacker Shane Ray could here their names called here.</p>.
