Heisman trophy winner Jameis Winston is being looked at by a lot of teams and the Cowboys seem interested

The Dallas Morning News has reported that the Dallas Cowboys have requested a report on Florida State QB Jameis Winston’s shoulder.

The Cowboys reportedly ordered an electromyography on the quarterback’s throwing arm, leading to some people wondering if ther could be a surprise team in the mix for the Heisman Trophy candidate.

It isn’t very likely that the Cowboys will ever be able to move from the No. 27 pick in the draft to get to Winston, but they seem to be doing their due diligence. Dallas has already said that current starter Tony Romo is expected to lead the team for at least another five years.

Winston is the youngest player in history to win the Hesiman trophy and a lot of fans think he would be an excellent replacement for Romo who seems to be unable to lead Dallas to a Super Bowl win. However, Winston comes with a lot of baggage after rape allegations and other off-field issues.

Winston put on a terrific performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, which seemed to silence a lot of his critics. It’s not yet certain who the superstar will end up going to, but a lot of teams are vying for his services. His performance at the combine lead to NFL analyst to say this:

"“The kid wasn’t afraid, he looked great, I thought it was awesome,”-  Mike Mayock"

Mayock went on to say that Winston impressed coaches and general managers after his combine drills were over by giving positive interviews. He also alluded to the ‘off field’ antics the Florida State man is known for.

"““Apparently he’s been interviewing well and the football IQ is really good, so the question becomes how much you care or don’t care at the end of the day about the off-the-field stuff”"
