NASCAR Sprint Cup Standings updated after Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500

Jimmie Johnson came out with a huge win Sunday in Atlanta, and now has moved to second in the standings behind Joey Logano.

We are now two races into the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson headline as the leaders in the standings after Logano won at Daytona last week and now Johnson in Atlanta.

Jimmie Johnson led 92 laps of the 325-lap Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500 and his Chevrolet race car got ahead of teammates Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and won the second race of the season.

Kevin Harvick finished second for the second straight week as he sits at third in the updated standings and Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished third for the second straight week as he sits at fourth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings. Jimmie Johnson got his second straight top-five finish, propelling him to second in the standings behind Joey Logano.

Danica Patrick sped into 16th, the last position before the Chase cut-off point and in the mix outside the Chase right now includes Paul Menard, Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin. Notable is Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart who are tied at 32 points near the back of the Chase standings.
