The Philadelphia Eagles traded away LeSean McCoy to Buffalo and now C.J. Spiller could be heading to Philly to fill his spot.

With LeSean McCoy heading to the Buffalo Bills in a trade for Kiko Alonso, RB C.J. Spiller knows his future will not be in Buffalo. Instead he will be looking for a new spot to take his services and he already has made his suggestion. Spiller said that he is pretty sure that Chip (Kelly) has his agent’s number.

With McCoy out of Philadelphia, Spiller sees an opening on an offense that he could thrive in. The wide open, fast-paced Chip Kelly offense would be a perfect fit for Spiller to jump into. He can make people miss in the open field and Chip specializes in making that happen. Spiller could get the ball out of the backfield and catch the ball in space. He would also split some carries with Darren Sproles.

Free agency starts up in a few days and we could see Spiller rocking some Eagles colors very soon. He would be making people miss in the open field put in Philadelphia. Spiller only played in 9 games last season because of injuries and finished with only 300 yards on the ground. In the previous season, he finished with 933 rushing yards.

Spiller only has one season in which he ran for 1,000+ yards. In 2012, Spiller ran for 1,244 yards and also had 459 receiving yards. He would be a solid back to insert into the Philadelphia Eagles offense and would be very productive with Chip calling the plays.

Other teams will be interested in adding the shifty back on their roster, but he makes a lot of sense in Philly after this recent move by the team.
