Jarrett Jack’s Game Winner

Jarrett Jack had an incredible game winning shot, but he has all but seen his days as the starting point guard in Brooklyn come to a close. Jack is still putting up numbers to keep him relevant in 12 team and larger leagues, but he is not always your best option to start. I would recommend holding him in all leagues as Deron Williams is a breath away from tweaking that ankle and sitting out a month or two.

Speaking of Deron Williams he is a recommended play right now while he is hot. Williams is riding a 6-game hot streak where he is putting up the kind of numbers that we expect from him. In those 6 games he is averaging 17 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. He seems to be a pretty safe play as long as long as he is healthy. If I owned him on a contending team, I would likely be looking to deal him away and add a more consistent player to my team.

 Other News and Information

In what was a pretty emotional game, Alex Len and Hassan Whiteside were both ejected for fighting. It would not be a shock for Whiteside to possibly see a suspension for his tackling of Len. It is also safe to say that Whiteside is a better basketball player than football.

In the same game we saw Markieff Morris receive a technical foul and a flagrant 2 for a hard foul on Goran Dragic. It will be unlikely that he is suspended, but could be in danger of racking up too many technical fouls in one year.

According to Jen Hale, a sideline reporter for the Pelicans, Anthony Davis is close to returning although no official word or timeline has been released by the Pelicans.

According to Dan Woike, there is a chance that Blake Griffin will return to action this Sunday as it will mark 4 weeks of inactivity for him.

Jimmy Butler is going to be out for 3-4 weeks with an elbow injury, but thankfully will not need surgery. This will make the Bulls very thin, and the players left to try and replace his production with Derrick Rose already out is getting very thin. The Bulls will look to Tony Snell, Mike Dunleavy and possibly Doug McDermott. With Taj Gibson already said to be out this week, the Bulls will be pretty short-handed and will leave the healthy guys with plenty of minutes.

P.J. Tucker of the Phoenix Suns has been getting pretty hot lately. Tonight against the Heat he had 20 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists. He is averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds over the last 2 weeks and seems to be a lock for 30+ minutes a night. I would suggest owing him across all league formats.
