Mar 21, 2014; San Antonio, TX, USA; TV announcer Craig Sager talks in the first half of a men
Welcome to the BAE Index.
Welcome back, Craig Sager!
It was great to see TNT reporter Craig Sager back on the sideline for the first time in 11 months after his triumphant battle against leukemia.
Everyone in the NBA is excited to see the beloved, vibrantly dressed reporter back on the court. During a mid-game interview, Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau started the answer to one of Sager’s questions by saying “forget the game, welcome back, Craig.”
The NBA is brighter with Sager on the sidelines.
It’s called “Westbrooking”
One night after slicing through the 76ers defense like a knife through brie, Russell Westbrook did it again against the Chicago Bulls.
So, yeah, he can do it against NBA teams, too.
To recap things you already know, Russ is amazing and he’s making this coast-to-coast thing a habit. It’s time to give it a name. This is called Westbrooking.
Dunleavy isn’t good at Westbrooking
While Westbrook is unstoppable in the open court, Mike Dunleavy is very much stoppable.
Dunleavy had a good game… in the half court. He is a terrific cutter, solid shooter and helps space the Bulls offense. He’s very important to what they do.
He’s just now, you know, a guy that should be dunking on the fast break.
Someone check in on Steve Smith
So Steve Smith got a bit excited during the Thunder and Bulls game, especially when Westbrook hit a late shot to help extend Oklahoma City’s lead.
3’Twaun Moore
Despite all of Russell Westbrook’s Westbrooking, the Bulls managed to stay in the game until the end. That’s when E’Twaun Moore shocked the basketball-watching world with this game-winning 3-pointer.
That pass by Pau Gasol, tho.
The Thunder had a chance to win on the final possession, but Russ stepped out of bounds and turned the ball over before he had a chance to launch a final shot. Game over, E’Twaun and the Bulls win.
Wes, nooooooooooooo
Wes Matthews went down on a non-contact injury during the Portland Trail Blazers game against the Dallas Mavericks and it wasn’t pretty.
You never want to see a guy go down like that, and there were immediately concerns about his achilles. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened.
Portland’s Wesley Matthews suffered a left torn Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of season, a league source tells Yahoo Sports.

This could very well have a significant impact on the playoffs.
