Golden State Warriors

This one speaks for itself. The Warriors, by any objective measure, have been the best team in the NBA this season, and that automatically qualifies them for the list.

Golden State is considered to be the title favorite based on their astronomical net rating (which happens to be sitting in historic territory), and it helps to have a legitimate Coach of the Year candidate (Steve Kerr), Defensive Player of the Year candidate (Draymond Green) and MVP candidate (Stephen Curry).

The Warriors possess an extremely talented roster when remembering that Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Bogut and David Lee are all above-average players at their respective positions, and that doesn’t even factor in the likes of Harrison Barnes and Shaun Livington as ace-level role players.

If Las Vegas is any indication, the “experts” believe that the Cavaliers and Warriors will play in the NBA Finals this season.

Even if they don’t, though, Golden State’s core is young and under control for the foreseeable future, and both sides could be loading up for multi-year runs of greatness.
