Wayne Rooney scored for Manchester United and celebrated by mocking a video of him allegedly being knocked out while boxing.

Manchester United are hosting Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in Premier League action and the Red Devils look dominant. In under 20 minutes, Man United raced out to a 2-0 lead and got a third from superstar striker Wayne Rooney in the 34th for a commanding 3-0 lead.

Rooney found himself in the headlines after a video of him allegedly being knocked out in a friendly boxing match with a friend. The video, which is rather grainy, shows a man who appears to be Rooney falling backwards and hitting his head on the table.

He then lays their motionless on the floor.

So when Rooney scored that goal in the 34th minute against Tottenham, he knew exactly how he wanted to celebrate. He ran over and took a boxing stance. Threw some punches like he was shadow boxing

He then tipped his head backwards like he just took one on the chin and fell backwards like he had been knocked out cold.

It was a hilarious way for Rooney to make light of the situation

Here is the entire sequence which is a little longer than a Vine allows.
