The Philadelphia Eagles are not satisfied with quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Sam Bradford, work out Tim Tebow.

The Eagles take over NFL free agency Monday as reports come in that they’re working out former Jets/Patriots/Broncos quarterback and general headline, Tim Tebow. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news to a nearly instantaneous over 1,000 retweets.

The reactions were a mixture of laughter, disbelief and dismay. Schefter then pointed out the interesting tidbit that if the Eagles do sign Tebow, he’ll be reunited with Sanchez.

Ian Rapoport tweeted shortly thereafter that Tebow’s workout was actually earlier in the day and thus already completed. No word on whether the Eagles are ready to make Tebow Time official in Philadelphia.

But seriously, isn’t anyone curious about what Chip Kelly could do with Tim Tebow? If anyone could figure something to do with Tebow and his lack of accuracy, but pretty fast decision-making, it would be Kelly. It’s obviously unlikely the Eagles have any interest in making him a starter over Sanchez and Bradford. Though, Bradford remains a question mark after having two knee surgeries in two years.

Regardless, Chip Kelly knows how to make headlines for himself in the offseason. Most recently, his decisions ignited a Twitter fight between Mike Florio and Dan Le Batard. Before that he was releasing LeSean McCoy and signing DeMarco Murray away from the Cowboys. He just might break the Internet if he signs Tim Tebow.

As for Tebow, he’s been working for ESPN in the last year, but has reportedly been working out with Tom Brady’s personal coach, Tom House, to improve his quarterback play. A Yahoo! story actually reports that there are people out there saying that Tebow is pretty accurate now, even going so far as to say that he’s “fixed.”

Tebow’s last football stint was in August of 2013 for the Patriots. He was released after training camp. He’s continued to say that he wants to come back to the NFL.
