In – Oklahoma City Thunder

Russell Westbrook has been playing MVP caliber basketball this season and he has kept his team in playoff contention. At this point, the Oklahoma City Thunder are sitting at 37-29 and hold the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoff race.

If everyone would have known that Kevin Durant would have had the type of injury issues that he has had this season, there wouldn’t be many that would predict them to make the playoffs.

Westbrook has taken over the superstar role and the Thunder have done an excellent job of surrounding him with talent. Acquiring players like Dion Waiters, Enes Kanter, and D.J. Augustin has been huge for them.

Oklahoma City is going to end up winning the eighth and final playoff seed in the Western Conference. They are too good to miss, and Westbrook’s level of play has been nearly unbeatable.

Don’t be surprised to see them not just make the playoffs, but end up giving the Golden State Warriors a run for their money assuming they win the conference.
