NBA Playoffs 2015: Who will sneak in, who will just miss out?
By Evan Massey
In – Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets were expected to be a legitimate playoff contender in the Eastern Conference. They got off to an incredibly slow start, but have rebounded and are playing their best basketball at the right time.
Acquiring Mo Williams ahead of the NBA’s trade deadline was a huge step in the right direction for the Hornets and he has been averaging 21.0 points and 7.9 assists per game with them.
Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker are still the leaders of the team, with Williams being thrown in as the third key player. Lance Stephenson was expected to have a big role with the Hornets, but he has struggled in his first year away from the Indiana Pacers.
Charlotte definitely has the type of talent to make a run if they can get into the playoffs. Their roster is among the more talented in the East, and for that reason alone they will make a run and get into the postseason. They are the eighth seed at this point in time, and are just a half game behind the Pacers for the seventh seed.
