Introducing the Philadelphia Eagles – the all-injury team
By Robby Sabo
DeMarco Murray
It just seems that things are going to go wrong for DeMarco Murray in 2015.
2014 for Murray was so right. He led the league in rushing with 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns, running behind the best, young offensive line in football.
His carry total of 392 bordered on the insanity in today’s NFL.
Now, all of Philly will expect Murray to duplicate this tremendous season in 2015. While there are so many reasons why it won’t happen (offensive line, ridiculous carry total), there’s one really concerning issue.
Can the man stay healthy for another full 16 games?
Hey, he plays running back, and these guys will get hurt. Still, Murray has seemed to be nicked up more than most during his four-year career.
Already 27-years old, Murray missed three games during his rookie campaign; six-games in 2012; and two-games in 2013. For the first time in his career he played the full state a season ago.
He could hardly play full seasons in college at Oklahoma.
While Kelly’s strategy might be to really mix and match Murray and Mathews during the coming season, both guys having injury prone pasts makes for an uneasy feeling.
