NFL: Top positional need for all 32 teams
By Robby Sabo
Cincinnati Bengals
- 2014 Finish: 10-5-1, 2nd in AFC North, Lost in Wild Card
- Top Positional Need: Offensive Tackle
There’s a few different directions Pete Brown can go in.
First and foremost they’ll need to decide on whether or not Andy Dalton can take them to the promised land. His pitiful 3-11 primetime and playoff record leaves a ton to be desired.
Bengals Offensive Tackles:
- Andrew Whitworth
- Andre Smith
- Eric Winston
- Matt O’Donnell
The reason the offensive tackle is need number one for the Cincinnati Bengals is because of Andrew Whitworth’s age (33), and Andre Smith’s inability to live up to first-round status. The last thing this franchise needs is stud rushers getting to an already mentally fragile Dalton.
A crafty slot-man could also be used to balance out the plethora of tall, lanky receivers on the roster. Elsewhere, the interior of that defensive line could use some bolstering to possibly replace Domata Peko.
Management needs to do everything in their power to provide Dalton the tools necessary to reach elite status. Don’t hold your breathe though.
