Young baseball player jumps over catcher to score (Video)

A young baseball player was so determined to score that he jumped over the opposing catcher to tally an important run.

Baseball highlights usually involve home runs and diving catches. However, this incredible clip we’re about to show you from a youth baseball game in Texas, shows a young boy scoring a run.

But this isn’t your ordinary crossing of the plate.  No, Devin Avedissian was able to score a run in the semifinal of the San Marcos Wood Bat Tournament because he jumped over the catcher.

Yes, you read that correctly. He jumped over the catcher who was in the right position to make an easy tag-out.

That is an absolutely ridiculous play. Credit to the kid for doing whatever he could do to help his team. To not only attempt a move like that, but to also pull it off is stunning.

Arguably the most shocking part of this clip is the boy’s reaction after he scores. He doesn’t seem all that excited. If most of us pulled off a play like that, we’d be losing our minds. Does that mean he jumps over catchers regularly?

Regardless, that’s one of the most impressive plays we’ve seen in some time.
