The Milwaukee Brewers have written up a letter for fans to take a mental health day off from work in order to watch Opening Day.

There are a few days during the year that sports fans would love to get some time away from work in order to enjoy some exciting sports games. The day after the Super Bowl is a perfect example of a day in which fans should be able to take some time off from work. Fans are exhausted from sitting in front of the television all day eating nachos and drinking beer. How are people supposed to function after a whole day of that?

The start of March Madness is another couple of days that fans should be given days off. How many fans have the games playing on their computers anyway? People should be able to take the time off without any consequences for those games. The production is down already.

People should be able to take some time off during the World Cup match-ups. Those games are played during work hours as well and make it tough for fans to focus on real work.

The Milwaukee Brewers are in tune with their fans and know that they would love to take the day off to see Opening Day. Kyle Lohse has provided a letter for all of their fans with a letter head to excuse them from work for the day.

Here is how the letter reads:

"To whom it may concern,Please excuse my colleague from work on Monday, April 6. It is important to his mental health and productivity that he take the day off work to attend Opening Day at Miller Perk. As a good employer, I am sure you understand the importance of maintaining a proper work-life balance. Thank you in advance for understanding.Kyle Lohse"

Absolutely brilliant! Just print that thing out and leave it on the desk of your boss and then head out to the ball game. It should be enough for you  to take the day off with an excused absence. It seems like a perfectly valid excuse for people to take a day off. It is important for our mental health in order to see the game.

I need a letter drawn up for every game during the season and will need it done from every team. I will also take it for any day that ends in ‘y’ if that is possible.
