Pau Gasol may be old, but he is still one amazing basketball player.
There is no other way to put it: Pau Gasol is a monster.

The Chicago Bulls have had to deal with so much adversity this year due to injuries, and yet they are still the 3-seed in the Easter Conference – and it’s largely due to Mr. Gasol. The 34-year-old came to Chicago through free agency this past summer, and he made the All-Star team and has averaged 18.5 points (50 percent shooting), 11.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Is he mostly terrible on defense? Yeah, but he has been amazing in the other areas of the game.
While Chicago should be happy with where they are seeded right now, they must look at every game for the rest of the year as a must-win game since they only have a one-game lead over the Toronto Raptors for the 3-seed. Tonight was one of the must-win games, and Chicago went down to the very last moments against the Detroit Pistons. The Bulls were up by a single point in the final seconds when they went for the dagger shot to end the game. The original shot didn’t go in, but the beast in the paint was there to clean up the board to get an and-one put-back dunk.
That Gasol roar will never get old. Way to win the game, Pau.
Gasol finished this game with 26 points (58 percent shooting) and 10 rebounds.
