After what has been a lengthy rehab experience, Paul George has announced that he will return to the Indiana Pacers lineup on Sunday
Paul George gave a lot of Indiana Pacers fans some news they’ve been desperately wanting to hear on Saturday when he announced that he will be making his return to the court for the team on Sunday when they take on the Miami Heat.

In the grand scheme of things, this news is amazing. Although we’ve known for the past few weeks that George would be making a return to the court before the season ends, it’s still amazing to think of what this man has gone through to get here.

While playing for the US team last summer, George suffered one of the more gruesome broken legs that we have seen in all of sports, nit just basketball, and at the time most thought that there was no way he’d be seeing the court this season for the perennial Eastern Conference contenders.
Yet, here we are just EIGHT MONTHS later, and George is gearing up to help his team make a nice playoff push in the coming weeks.

Again, it seemed near impossible when the injury originally occurred that George could make a comeback in eight months, but everything went as planned and he seems eager to get back out there.
While the Pacers have done an admirable job without him for most of this season, George is definitely the key cog in this Indiana unit.
In his four-year career, George averages 15.3 points per game with 6.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists. His best season came in 2013-14, when he averaged 21.7 points per game, while helping make this team a legit contender for the NBA Championship.
As it stands right now, the Pacers are on the outside looking in at the playoff race, but they’re only 1.5 games behind the Heat for that No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference, the team they play on Sunday. Not all hope is lost yet for a title run, and George will be there to help the push beginning this weekend.
