Wisconsin forward Sam Dekker isn’t just a basketball player, he’s a quarterback and he wants his buddy Aaron Rodgers to know it.

Aaron Rodgers has been the Ashley Judd (Kentucky super fan) of the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team during their NCAA Tournament run to the Final Four. Granted Rodgers isn’t as intense as Judd while watching his favorite team play, but he was allowed on the court after Wisconsin’s Elite Eight victory over Arizona, which made one reporter very angry.

Rodgers has come very close to Wisconsin basketball players throughout their run including Wisconsin junior forward Sam Dekker who is playing out of his mind in the NCAA Tournament so far. Well, Dekker wanted to impress Rodgers by showing him that his only skills aren’t on the basketball court, but he also has some prowess throwing the football.

In a video tweet addressed to Rodgers, Dekker wanted to show Rodgers his “cannon” and while he can definitely throw a football, the accuracy wasn’t quite there.

Dekker missed all three targets, but to give him the benefit of the doubt, he threw a nice spiral. He probably won’t be entered into the 2015 NFL Draft and will likely take his chances in the 2015 NBA Draft where he’s projected as a lottery pick according to most experts and mock drafts.

Sam Dekker is a 6-9 small forward who not only has amazing slam dunk skills, but he’s also shown he can light it up from anywhere on the court. During the NCAA Tournament, he’s averaged nearly 22 points a game as well as over five rebounds.

Dekker shined for the Badgers in their Elite Eight game against the Arizona Wildcats scoring 27 points on 8-11 field goals leading Wisconsin to a dominant second half where they outscored Arizona 55-45 leading to a 85-78 win and their second straight Final Four berth.

Dekker’s performance this NCAA Tournament has solidified that he’s a lock for a lottery pick in the NBA Draft, if he decides to leave with teammate and AP player of the year, senior center Frank Kaminsky, another projected lottery pick in many mock drafts.

Expect Dekker and the Wisconsin Badgers to give undefeated Kentucky everything they have when they face off in the Final Four Saturday night. But, don’t expect Dekker to stay at Wisconsin another year and take his chances on the football field.
