Bubba Watson is on his own in a street fight, according to PGA poll
By Kris Whelan
A survey was conducted among the pros of the golf tour and some interesting results have been released
Apparently golfers like a good survey, with some interesting and odd questions. There are of course the standard ‘who do you think will win the masters’ type of questions but then there’s some random ones…
Who would you help in a parking lot fight? What a strange thing to ask a group of sportsman who I would categorize as the least likely to be involved in such a brawl. I mean who among the players on the current tour would you like at your side for a battle royal? Phil Mickelson maybe, but he’s been known to cry from time to time I guess.
Well ESPN gave 103 professional golfers from 20 countries and there are some other points to be raised other than the mythical car park brawl.
Only 28 of the 103 believe that world No. 1 Rory McIlroy will win the Masters at Augusta this week, only time will tell if the Northern Irishman can prove them wrong.
Another interesting result was the number of people who still have faith in Tiger Woods, now ranked 104th in the world. 64 pros believe that the former number one will win another major. I have my doubts that it will happen this week however.
Now back to the only result that everyone cares about. Current Masters’ champion Bubba Watson was voted as the player other players would be least likely to help in a car park fight, were one to break out. Are people jealous? Is it because he has cried in front of millions of people on more than one occasion? Is it because he released a rap song? Who knows why, but he got the most votes among the 103 pros.
