Lakers’ Byron Scott rips some players… again

Lakers’ Byron Scott on some of his players “They’d end up shooting me in the back”
The Los Angeles Lakers have been caught Lakering again. By Lakering I mean steadly producing new low points in succession. The culprit today was the Head Coach Byron Scott.
Via LA Times:
"“I got a sense of a whole lot of them I wouldn’t want to be in a fox hole with,” Scott said after Monday’s practice. “I think they’d end up shooting me in the back. So I’ve got a pretty good sense of the guys that I think are going to be around, that we will build around, build together in this process and go through it.”"
He already stirred the pot earlier this season calling some of his players “soft” and saying his players need to “man up.”
Byron Scott did recognize Jordan Clarkson for his willingness to learn this year. Jordan Clarkson has been a small reprieve in what has been a rough season after losing their top pick to an injury, losing Kobe Bryant to Injury, and losing Phil Jackson’s interest.
The Lakers are without a wealth of picks, playing in a loaded western conference, and, without Kobe Bryant, they do not have a true all-star. To make matters worse, the situation does not look like it’s going to change.
What the Lakers are doing however, and will probably do next year is fill up their roster with players from the D-League or players that other teams have moved on from. If you openly disgrace your current employee’s, future one’s could be wary to take what you say to heart.
Byron Scott does not deserve any credit for this dismal state and the state of the franchise isn’t exactly all in his hands. What is in his hands though are his current players and fostering the rotating carousel of players to come.
