New York Knicks center Cole Aldrich had a gaffe as he scored on his own hoop.

When it rains it pours for the New York Knicks.

Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers, the Knicks struggled offensively while Indiana executed their game plan.

The Knicks even lent a helping hand to the Pacers during a free throw.

After the Pacers missed a free throw attempt, Knicks center Cole Aldrich went up to grab the rebound. Unfortunately for Aldrich, he missed the rebound and scored the ball on his own hoop.

It was an unintentional moment that will probably live on in blooper reels.

On the bright side for the Knicks, if there was ever a way to tank for a top pick, scoring on your own hoop helps the cause.

The Knicks have the worst record in the league and are in contention for a top lottery pick this season, which they can add alongside a returning Carmelo Anthony next year.

One of the guys they could pick with a top pick could be Duke center Jahlil Okafor. Okafor could provide a presence in the paint and hopefully not score on his own hoop.

The season can’t end soon enough in New York.
