Kendall Gill posts an Instagram video of MJ destroying him and proceeding to dunk on his teammate.

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times: do not trash talk Michael Jordan. He will make you pay the price.

Kendall Gill, former NBA standout, posted a video on his Instagram today detailing his own personal MJ trash talk story. As the story goes, Gill, Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning were teammates on the Charlotte Bobcats, who were playing the Chicago Bulls at the old Chicago Stadium. Bolstered by their game performance, the young players let their confidence get the best of them:

"“We started talking smack. I could [sense] MJ getting mad because We were matched up against each other. I didn’t give a crap though because I was young, dumb and didn’t know any better. MJ back doored me out of the triangle offense and put Zo on his collection of posters. Lol. Moral of this story? Callin out the Devil is one thing. Facing him is another! Never tug on Superman’s cape unless you’re absolutely ready! Did you hear me Pacman?”"

Think Gill feels guilty that his talking led to Mourning getting posterized?

More from NBA

Gill is just one of the former NBA players who have shared their MJ trash-talk stories recently. Last month, Pacers great and trash-talking legend Reggie Miller explained the lesson he learned about chirping at MJ during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Shortly thereafter, Space Jam actor and former college player Keith Gibbs told the story of getting destroyed by MJ in a pickup game during filming.

The stories of Jordan’s competitiveness have been long-documented. His Airness, keep in mind, is the same guy that used to pay the baggage handlers to take his luggage off of the team plane first, just to make sure he won a bet.

Coincidentally enough, Gill, who played for the University of Illinois,  joined the Chicago Bulls for the 2003-04 season, his second to last in the Association.

Seems like Gill learned his lesson. Think Manny Pacquiao will take Gill’s advice?
