New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez hit his first home-run since returning from a year long suspension due to repeated PED usage.

Alex Rodriguez is back, and he came back with a bang during the New York Yankees opening home stand against the Toronto Blue Jays. Rodriguez has officially belted his first home-run since returning from the year long suspension that put him on the sideline during the entire 2013-14 season.

Whether or not A-Rod continues this success will have some major implications on whether or not he will be considered a future Hall of Famer. A-Rod rejoining the Yankees was one of the top story-lines entering the Major League Baseball season qnd he isn’t shying away from the spotlight at all.

After continually hearing negative things the past year and a half, and probably longer, Rodriguez must have put a lot of frustration behind that one. It got blasted way out in left field of Yankee Stadium.

Even in Alex Rodriguez has a tremendous season one thing is for sure, the use of steroids has left a stain on A-Rod’s legacy that no number of home runs can erase. But they sure wouldn’t hurt his Hall of Fame ballot once he retires.

The Yankees would go on to fall to Toronto 6-3 despite A-Rod’s best effort to keep them in the game. The Blue Jays would take the series 2-1, but the story-line will definitely be this home run rather than the loss in New York this evening.
