Stevan Ridley and his 1-year deal get a Jets tattoo
By Ernie Padaon
Stevan Ridley signed a 1-year deal with the New York Jets and wants to share his team pride by rocking a new tattoo of the team’s logo.
Stevan Ridley signed a one-year deal with the New York Jets a few days ago and now he is getting the ink on his arm permanently to represent his new team. You have to love his commitment to his new organization. He already had a tattoo of the New England Patriots on his arm, so he needed to add the New York Jets tattoo on there now.
Hopefully Ridley will be able to find a team that will sign him to a long-term deal. Otherwise he will run out of room on his arm for all the teams that he signs on with.

After this one-year deal, what will he do when he signs with another team? Where will he get that tattoo? How many more team tattoos will he have on his body and how much more room will he have to save for them? It will start to look funny when he has a number of different teams all over him. It already looks funny that he has rival teams on his arm, but since it is his history in the NFL, then we will let it slide.
We know that Ridley loves getting new tats, but I am not sure how many more new teams he wants to add onto his body. His stats of 6 games with 340 rushing yards from last season needs to get better. If he is unable to improve on those numbers then, then he may be looking for a new roster to play on. Either way, the 1-year deal doesn’t give him much security. That gives him one season to prove his game to everyone around the NBA.
The Jets already have some solid backs on the roster, but Ridley would be able to compete with them for a starting job. Chris Ivory likely will get the starting role going into the season and Bilal Powell will compete with Ridley for the backup role on the roster.
Ridley has had issues with his ball security and has seen plenty of time in Bill Belichick’s dog house. He also has struggled with injuries. These are some things that he will need to get fixed if he is looking for any type of longevity with a team.
