First it was Phil Mickelson, who sunk an incredible 41-foot putt on the 16th as he inched closer to the lead, pulling himself just four shots behind Jordan Spieth at the time. Then it was Justin Rose, who is right there with Mickelson on the scorecard and also looking to draw closer to Spieth, whose lead isn’t as commanding as it had been on Friday.
Just when the crowd thought they had their fill of amazing shots after Mickelson’s putt, Rose sunk a chip shot from the sand bunker straight into the hole, which caused the crowd to go into a frenzy with all the phenomenal golf they were seeing.
The ball landed perfectly as it had the line straight to the hole.
While Spieth is trying to put away the tournament and capture the win on the big stage, both Rose and Mickelson are making big shots to give themselves a chance.
While Saturday has seen some terrible shots like Dustin Johnson chipping two feet into the sand, it’s also had its share of incredible ones.
That’s why it’s The Masters.
