Saturday night brings us yet another awesome episode of Premier Boxing Champions, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The first bout of the night saw the undefeated Peter Quillin take on Irishman Andy Lee, in a bout that was supposed to be for Lee’s Middleweight title. However, as we came to find out on Friday, Quillin was unable to make weight, therefore making this a non-title bout.
Even without the title being on the line, Quillin still came out like he was fighting for a prize, scoring two quick knockdowns on Lee in the early going.
However, things settled in during the middle rounds, and we even saw Quillin eat the canvas for the first time in his career as Lee was looking to mount his comeback.
This one would end up going the full 12 rounds, and when it was all said and done, the judges actually ended up calling the bout a split draw, with the final judge going 113 apiece for each fighter.
Here is a look at the highlights from this amazing bout that took place on Saturday night.
