Well, Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas is doing all he can to make sure that Boston gets that crucial victory.
Thomas had an incredible play in the second quarter, schooling four Cavaliers players with a variety of moves that ultimately set up an open three-pointer for teammate Jonas Jerebko.
That just doesn’t seem fair. Hopefully Thomas starts getting the respect he deserves as an offensive threat, because not many in the league have handles like he does.
Jerekbo’s make gave the Celtics three of their 34 points in the second quarter. Boston also held the Cavaliers to just nine points in the second fame, allowing them to enter the halftime break up 26 points.
The Celtics might not be a team many view as playoff caliber, but it appears Thomas and many other Celtics players will make their postseason debut very soon.
Thomas is averaging 16.5 points (42.1 percent shooting from the field, 37.1 percent shooting from three), 4.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game this season.
