We’re less than a month away from the 2015 NFL Draft and teams have probably set the top end of their draft boards, and now are tinkering with the lower end of those same boards, deciding who they might target later in the draft.

Some teams might want to dive into the first few rounds again though, as there are some real pitfalls to be found in the first two days of the NFL Draft. Even the so-called ‘can’t miss’ prospects are no sure things—just ones whose risk is mitigated because of talent, preparedness and other factors.

We all know drafts are as much art (and luck) as science, so preparation is key in not just getting the right guy but avoiding the wrong guy. There can be a fine line between the two.

At the end of the day, there’s danger in examining too closely as well—a scout, GM or coach can magnify a minor flaw and overthink the whole thing, passing on a good player their team needs.

We’ve got a list of eight players teams might want to take a second (or third or fourth) look at in the last few weeks before Chicago welcomes the NFL for the 2015 Draft.
