Spain will come to a stop today when Atletico Madrid take on rivals Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League today
There won’t be much work done around Spain this evening as the two biggest teams from the capital take on one another in the repeat of last year’s Champions League final. The stakes are incredibly high as both teams are desperate not to earn a Champions League exit at the hands of their most bitter rivals.

The last time the teams met was a strange La Liga tie that finished 4-0 to the seemingly weaker team Atetico. I say they are the weaker side, but they did win the league title last year. However this year they have been a long way off the pace and Real Madrid are historically a bigger club.
Both teams struggled to get over the line in the round of 16 against German opposition. Real Madrid lost at home but went through by one goal against Schalke 04 while Atletico Madrid needed penalties to get by Bayer Leverkusen.
