The Boston Celtics clinched the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference in what has to be one of their most thrilling wins of the season.

After already locking up a spot in the postseason, improbably, the Boston Celtics needed a win on Tuesday night to secure the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Toronto Raptors didn’t want to make it easy on the Celtics and took them down to the wire, but in the end it was Boston who wouldn’t go down without a fight — and it was a fight they won.

Jae Crowder drained the game winning shot with 0.08 left in the game — securing the win and the No. 7 seed for the Celtics in the playoffs.

The win was one of the most thrilling moments of the Celtics season, and it could be the launching point from which they go on a run. It’s not impossible to imagine Boston going on a bit of a tear in the postseason and giving their first-round opponent a scare.

Perhaps the only problem with that is the fact that the Cleveland Cavaliers await the Celtics in the first-round of the postseason, and that’s going to be a tough series to win. LeBron James and the Cavaliers may have struggled at times against the Celtics, but they are a different team in the postseason and LeBron James is a monster in the playoffs.
