Aaron Hernandez found guilty of first-degree murder

The jury has reached a verdict in the murder case involving former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.
The New England Patriots dynamic tandem of tight ends was broken up when Aaron Hernandez was shockingly involved in a murder case.

Hernandez was accused of murdering his friend Odin Lloyd, after his body was found on June 17, 2013 in a field. He was officially charged with first-degree murder and five various gun-related charges.
On April 15th, 2015, Hernandez was found guilty of that first-degree murder charge.

Hernandez just sat down and shook his head, which might have actually been the most emotion we saw out of him during the trial.
The jurors confirmed that they all agreed with the guilty verdict on all accounts.

He received an automatic sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. The death penalty is not an option in Massachusetts.

Hernandez was found guilty on every other charge as well.

Hernandez’s fiancee, who was a key witness in the case, was visibly emotional when the verdict was announced.

It isn’t the end of Hernandez’s legal issues either. There could still be more charges coming from a separate double-homicide incident in Boston from 2012 as well.
