V. Stiviano has to return the gifts she received from her ex-boyfriend Donald Sterling

V. Stiviano, the former girlfriend of former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling was ordered to payback $2.6 million in gifts she received from Sterling according to TMZ Sports.

Judge Richard Fruin Jr sided with Shelly Sterling, concluding she was still very much Donald’s wife when he stepped out on her. According to TMZ, Sterling gave Stiviano a duplex, a Bentley, a Range Rover and a Ferrari totaling $2.6 milion.

Stiviano’s attorney Mac Nehoray told reporters that he and his client were disappointed and would appeal the ruling.
“Judges are supposed to interpret the law not make them.We are very disappointed. Judges are supposed to interpret the law not make them. Ms. Stiviano will definitely appeal.”

Sterling’s lawyer, Pierce O’Donnell, released a statement Tuesday night siding with Fruin Jr’s ruling:

“Shelly is thrilled with the decision. This is a victory for the Sterling family in recovering the $2,630,000 that Donald lavished on a conniving mistress. It also sets a precedent that the injured spouse can recover damages from the recipient of these ill-begotten gifts.”

On paper, it looks like Shelly Sterling came out on top. However, her past is just as dark as her husband’s. Back in 2009, Sterling was a part of a federal housing lawsuit that detailed racist language. One of her tenants, Darrell Rhodes said this in court documents:

“I asked her, ‘Would you reduce the rent?’  ‘Who do you think you are, you black motherf—–?’

Rhodes went on to say:

“The way in which she said motherf—– was more lower voiced, under her breath. She said black loud enough for me to hear. She said mother loud enough for me to hear. F— part was a little lower. I had to look at her lips to hear her say it. And I did.”

A settlement of close to 3 million dollars was awarded later than year.

Speaking for the NBA, the Clippers, basketball fans, along with salt of the earth folks, we all want Donald Sterling, V. Stiviano and anyone else who cosigned this foolishness go away as soon as possible. Also, there’s something wrong with anyone who has something negative to say about Magic Johnson. Seriously, everyone loves the guy. Even Celtics fans tip their hats to the man who is widely regarded as the best point guard in NBA history.

Two things can be learned from all of this. No.1, William Congreve’s words continue to reign true, “Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.” No.2, don’t be a racist.
