Knicks fan hits halfcourt shot, walks away with $10,000 (Video)
As a part of fan appreciation night, the New York Knicks gave away $10,000 to fan who hit half court shot.
Knicks fans don’t have much to be cheering about this year, except on fan appreciation night that is. One fan hit a half court shot that sent him home with a nice $10,000 check that is sure to put a smile on his face.
It’s about time someone in New York gives their fans something to cheer about. Even if it was an ugly, two handed lob that luckily found itself at the bottom of the net.

That is more than most Knicks players can do. Their 17-64 record this year is the second worst in the NBA. Ever since Carmelo Anthony shut it down after the All Star break they Knicks have looked like anything but basketball players. So maybe they should give this guy a shot?
After all, the man sporting the #20 jersey has made more shots at Madison Square Garden than Melo has the last two months. I’m not seriously saying the Knicks should pull a Henry Rowengartner and give him a chance. Although I am also not saying they shouldn’t. It’s the last game of the season and they are playing the Pistons. Do they really have anything to lose?
[UPDATE:] They weren’t done yet.
