Bills head coach Rex Ryan roasts Tom Brady on his brutal first pitch at Fenway.

Patriots QB Tom Brady threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park on Monday for the Red Sox home opener – and it was pretty ugly. One person who noticed was Buffalo Bills first-year head coach Rex Ryan, who spent the last six seasons as the coach of the New York Jets.

Ryan began his press conference on Wednesday by calling out Brady’s unimpressive performance. Ryan, who threw out the first pitch at the Buffalo Bisons home opener, added that his first pitch reached home plate. And he’s right. Surprisingly, Rex’s pitch went well. Brady’s, on the other hand, one-hopped.

It looks like Ryan, who hasn’t been very successful against Brady over the years, is trying to compensate for something. The last two dismal Jets seasons, perhaps?

Ryan, though, might want to keep his thoughts to himself. If the situation were reversed, Brady would never stop talking. After all, despite the weight loss, Ryan is not the most athletic head coach we’ve ever seen.

Furthermore, Ryan still coaches in the AFC East, the division that Brady and the Patriots have dominated for the last decade and half. The Bills and the Patriots will play twice in the 2015 season and we’re guessing Brady might try just a little harder to embarrass Rex’s new team. Poor Matt Cassel.

While Brady’s is not the worst or the creepiest first pitch we’ve ever seen, he did break the cardinal, first-pitch rule: don’t bounce it. Thankfully for Brady, Red Sox star David Ortiz made an impressive play to keep the ball from rolling to the backstop.

Brady, perhaps recognizing that his pitch was sub-par, redeemed himself afterwards with a little batting practice against former-Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez. While Pedro is not in 2004-ALCS form, he’s still throwing some heat, and Brady made contact.

We’d say he should be embarrassed, but Brady, the reigning Super Bowl champion, might just have the greatest life ever. We’re pretty confident he’ll bounce back from this (bounce being the operative word), but if he needs a pick me up, he should watch the following video.

Now, let’s go eat a gosh darn snack.
