Fantasy Football: Where Is Dez Bryant In My Way Too Early Top Ten WRs?

Where is Dez Bryant in my way too early top 10 WR list?

Dez Bryant is in my opinion one of the most talented wide receivers in the game of football. He is a guy that I love to own on my fantasy football teams because for the most part he will fight it out and play every game that he can. I believe in more than just his talent but I believe in the fact that he is driven to be the best that he can be. Some guys just have the ‘it’ factor to go along with their talent and I believe he possesses that rare gift of the ‘it’ factor.

Dez Bryant also has a decent enough quarterback to get him the ball. We all know of Tony Romo’s limitations and where he excels, but this is not an article about Tony Romo so we will not be spending too much time focusing on quarterbacks. Now I am a firm believer in rating WRs in fantasy football according to their QB. There is no doubt that a QB can make or break the legitimacy of any WR in the NFL. For instance even though the Titans may have some talented WRs we will not be seeing any of them cracking this top ten list unless by some freak accident they do wind up landing a guy like Phillip Rivers.

Last year in fantasy football we saw the most unreal emergence of a fantasy football star we have seen in quite some time. Odell Beckham Jr. burst onto the scene and literally carried the savvy owners who were quick enough to pluck him off of the waiver wire to a likely pot of gold at the end of the fantasy football rainbow. That was really unexpected for most of us.

With all of last years stats and this years acquisitions in mind I will now look to start an early top ten list that can possibly help you in your year-long keeper and dynasty leagues where you can maybe make some trades or acquire some of these guys to be your keepers for next year. I will try my best to decipher just how well each of these players will stack up fantasy wise at the end of the season. Of course no one has a crystal ball and neither do I, but I will do my dead-level best.

10. player. 45. Emmanuel Sanders finished last season as the #6 overall WR in ESPN standard leagues. In all of the rest of this post all fantasy scores and ranks from last season will be courtesy of ESPN.com standard leagues. Sanders did most of his work early in the season and kind of sloughed off as the fantasy playoffs started. This could have some owners frustrated with him as we tend to remember the end of the season more than the beginning.. WR. Denver Broncos. Emmanuel Sanders

9. player. 57. The Bears were a hot mess last year. Somehow though Jefferey managed to finish last season as the #12 overall WR. Jefferey also managed to not miss any games last year. That is a huge plus for him. The Bears are also likely to be without Brandon Marshall next season. I realize that Jay Cutler is not the best QB int he NFL, but he is easily good enough to get Jefferey to be the #9 overall WR and possibly even better.. WR. Chicago Bears. Alshon Jeffery

T.Y. Hilton had somewhat of a breakout seasonlast year and finished as the #10 overall WR. Andrew Luck is only going to get better and that leads me to believe that I could actually be a little bit low and may wind up moving him up. Hilton has the talent to easily move up this list and has all the ingredients of being a top five WR.. WR. Indianapolis Colts. T.Y. Hilton. 8. player. 46

Julio Jones. 7. player. 44. Julio Jones has kind of underwhelmed the last few seasons. Last year was his best season and the Falcons had a bad season. Jones finished as the #8 overall WR last season and really that is pretty good. I think the underwhelming thing for me is that I have always thought that Jones has #1 WR talent. Maybe I am a bit high on him, but I firmly believe that one day Jones could be the best WR in the league. Jones is another player that I think I may be too low on and may wind up having to move up.. WR. Atlanta Falcons

45. Thomas is a monster. At a towering 6’3″ and 240 pounds he is a matchup nightmare for most NFL DBs. Thomas finished last season as the #2 overall WR, but my belief is that Peyton Manning will likely be working in a new WR into the fold this year since Julius Thomas has departed.. WR. Denver Broncos. Demaryius Thomas. 6. player
