Red Sox fan throws beer in Yankees fan’s face (Video)
In an altercation during Saturday’s game, a Red Sox fan threw a full beer in a Yankees fan’s face.
Breaking News: Yankees fans and Red Sox fans don’t like each other very much.
While the two teams were competing on the field Saturday in The Bronx, a few fans in the stands got into their own altercation, though we imagine this one was more alcohol-fueled.
In the upper deck of Yankee Stadium, two Red Sox fans and a Yankees fan started chirping at one another, no doubt using some choice words that my editor will not let me print. After going back and forth for a minute or so, during which one of the Red Sox fans got dangerously close to the Yankees fan, the fight escalated, ending with the other Red Sox fan throwing a full beer into the Yankees fan’s face.
Since this is 2015 we’re living in, the whole thing was caught on video.
Don’t you feel better about yourself now?

These two fan bases have a hard time shutting their mouths, so it’s no surprise that something like this happened. And frankly, something similar transpires nearly every time these teams meet. A simple YouTube search will lead you to dozens of videos capturing similar altercations. It seems as though the Red Sox recent string of championships (2004, 2007 and 2013) have only intensified the already bitter fan rivalry.
Yet, hundreds of thousands of fans attend rivalry games and manage not to throw things at each other. It’s simple: don’t provoke others and cheer, respectfully, for your own team.
It does make you wonder though, after over a minute of yelling back and forth, what set off the Red Sox fan enough to throw an entire beer in his aggressor’s face? Those beers at Yankee Stadium are like $12 each. Hope it was worth it.
Can’t we all just get along?
