This past week there was a video that surfaced online featuring New England Patriots star right end Rob Gronkowski cutting a WWE promo with NXT star Mojo Rawley in the middle of a Florida street. Since the released of the video, of course people have been speculating whether or not we could see the Gronk get a little more involved with WWE some time down the road.
Well, it seems as if a Gronkowski very well could be making an appearance in the professional wrestling company, if it’s up to him.
In a recent interview with Fox Sports, one of the topics that was brought up was the WWE promo that he cut, and this is where he readily admitted that should everything work out, then he’d absolutely be open to making an appearance down the line.
"My boy Mojo Rawley is in the WWE’s NXT and he just got back from an injury, so he’s about to start amping it up again and he’s doing a great job. He’s my boy and he’s killing it. I love watching him. We were just chilling and we cut a promo together and we had a blast. I can definitely see something in the future. Hopefully Mojo Rawley starts wrestling a lot and starts doing what he has to do and makes it to “Monday Night Raw”, if my boy is there, I’m there for an appearance."
So as you can see, it appears as though a Gronkowski appearance all hinges on whether or not Rawley can get the call up to the main roster after some work in NXT. For the sake of our entertainment, that call up better happen sooner rather than later so we can see one of the more entertaining personalities in the NFL on the WWE stage.
