Cavs’ Shawn Marion hits game-winner, is tickled by teammates in celebration

It started with a chalk throw, and ended with a tickle.

“What kind of inscrutable riddle is this?” I can hear some of you asking. It’s not a riddle at all; it’s actually an accurate description of the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ season.

The game went into overtime, and went Shawn Marion dunked at the last second to cement the Cavaliers’ victory over the Wizards, he was greeted at half-court with punches and tickles from his Cleveland teammates.

And half-court celebrations were never the same again.

Seriously, how do you top that? No one will settle for being mobbed at half-court again, knowing they could just as easily be tickled.

Also, how weird is it that all the Cavs players independently decided that this was their reaction to that shot?

But maybe the weirdest thing about it: this was a completely meaningless game for Cleveland. They came into the game locked into the number two seed in the East; nothing they did against the Wizards mattered at all. And yet, they were absolutely ecstatic to win the game (if you couldn’t tell). How will they react to an actual playoff win? I know I’m dying to find out.
