Alex Rodriguez has been off to quite the hot start in his return to baseball this season following his one-year suspension for PED use, but his best night may have come on Friday. In the Yankees’ win over the Tampa Bay Rays, Rodriguez blasted two home runs, one of which went well over 430 feet, and he drove in the game-winning single late in the contest.
Of course, you can’t mention the amazing start that A-Rod is off too without also bringing up the reason that he was suspended for the entire season last year. Also, as we all know, the New York newspapers use every chance they get to make some pretty awful puns when something newsworthy happens.
So, when you put all of this together, you get a pretty dangerous mixture and the New York papers did not disappoint this time around.
