Stephen Curry gets MVP chants from Oracle Arena crowd
Golden State Warriors fans make it clear who their choice for MVP is early during the first game of the playoffs.
With a record of 39-2 at home, the Golden State Warriors were just about untouchable in front of a great atmosphere at Oracle Arena. As expected, the stadium was electric during the first half of Game 1 between Golden State and the New Orleans Pelicans.
The crowd joined the MVP debate early on, showering Stephen Curry with chants after his first made three of the postseason, via NBASarah on Vine.
Curry is locked in a tight MVP race with Houston Rockets superstar James Harden. The difference between the two is minimal enough to the point where it’s hard to get mad no matter who wins, but don’t tell this crowd that.

Despite some cold shooting from beyond the arc, Curry has given the Orcale Arena crowd plenty of reasons to chant and cheer with 19 first half points. The Warriors are getting it done against Anthony Davis and company on the defensive end and lead 59-41 at halftime.
As the best player on the best team with some unbelievable shooting numbers, Curry is certainly a deserving candidate. Curry in front of the lively Golden State crowd will be must-watch television over the course of the playoffs.
