Cubs fan falls trying to catch foul ball (Video)
By Mike Dyce
A Chicago Cubs fan took a spill trying to catch a foul ball.
The Chicago Cubs might not have finished their renovations before the season started, but that hasn’t stopped fans from coming out to the Friendly Confines to see their team. Not even with the rain.

Some Cubs fans were trying to catch a foul ball and one of them took a nasty, albeit slightly hilarious fall. I’ve never understood some adults infatuation with catching a foul ball, or to a similar extent, catching plastic beads that cost pennies at St. Patrick’s Day parades.
The common denominator seems to be a little bit of alcohol, and that may or may not be the case with this Cubs fan who slipped trying to catch the ball. His spill was more likely because he was leaning back over the chairs and lost his balance, possibly the rain as well.
He should’ve taken a page out of this Cubs’ fans book and caught it with a beer, that seemed to work just fine and a little bit safer.
If there is one silver lining to this gentleman falling, it is that it gave some kids an opportunity to wrestle with a different adult for a foul ball.
