The NFL has released their 2015 schedule, and the Oakland Raiders will have some interesting match-ups against the AFC West, AFC North, and NFC North.

To say the Oakland Raiders have struggled over the years would be an understatement. However, after finishing 8-8 in 2011, the Raiders thought that perhaps they were finally turning a corner.

Unfortunately, that corner turned in the wrong direction. In the three years since, the Raiders have won 11 games total, going 4-12 in both 2012 and 2013, and finally letting that dip to a 3-13 record last season. That last season started with an 0-10 start run that finally came to an end with a win over the division rival Chiefs, a win that likely knocked Kansas City out of playoff contention. So if anything, at least there is that.

As per usual, that led the Raiders to an interesting offseason of questionable signings and moves. While the team addressed some needs by bolstering the line with J’Marcus Webb and also it’s defensive backfield with safety Nate Allen and cornerback James Dockery, the team also parted ways with underachieving running back Darren McFadden, only to replace him with Trent Richardson.

Then again, the game isn’t played solely on the back of the roster you assemble, but also the schedule you have to endure. Each year, NFL teams play each team within their division twice and they play one AFC and one NFC division on a rotational basis. To fill in the final two spots on the schedule, the teams need to take on opponents who finished in the same position in their respective divisions.

For the Oakland Raiders, it looks like it will be an interesting schedule to say the least. After playing an AFC West division that beat up the Raiders to the tune of a 1-5 record in 2014, Oakland will see the NFC North and the AFC North on their schedules. The Raiders will also see none-divisional match-ups against such luminary teams as the New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans.

So what does the Oakland Raiders schedule look like for the 2015 season?
