St. Louis Rams 2015 schedule released, dates and times
The NFL has released their 2015 schedule, and the St. Louis Rams will have some interesting match-ups against the NFC West, AFC North, and NFC North.
In a division that is so top heavy, there has to be a doormat, and unfortunately for St. Louis Rams fans, that meant the that fell on the shoulder of the Rams.
The Rams found themselves in familiar territory in 2014; having to deal without their starting quarterback. For the second consecutive season, QB Sam Bradford was lost to the team with a torn ACL. However, St. Louis recovered well, with 3rd-year QB Austin Davis coming to the rescue and throwing for 2001 yards, 12 touchdowns, and putting up a decent QB rating of 85.1 in his 10 games (8 starts).
Still, the Rams felt they needed to move on, and pulled off a surprise trade with the Philadelphia Eagles which sent Bradford to Philadelphia and brought Kevin Kolb to St. Louis. In addition to Kolb, the Rams also added defensive tackle Nick Fairley and QB Case Keenum. The team also retained Davis and WR Kenny Britt, but failed to address other key areas of need.
Then again, the game isn’t played solely on the back of the roster you assemble, but also the schedule you have to endure. Each year, NFL teams play each team within their division twice and they play one AFC and one NFC division on a rotational basis. To fill in the final two spots on the schedule, the teams need to take on opponents who finished in the same position in their respective divisions.
For the St. Louis Rams, it looks like it will be an interesting schedule to say the least. After playing an NFC West division that roughed up the Rams to the tune of a 2-4 record in 2014, St. Louis will see the NFC North and the AFC North on their schedules. To balance out the schedule, the Rams also throw in match-ups with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins.
So what does the St. Louis Rams schedule look like for the 2015 season?
