With Rajon Rondo’s time in Dallas appearing to be up, what five teams could sign Rondo in free agency?

Rajon Rondo’s time as a member of a Dallas Mavericks is ending with a thud.

Between issues with coach Rick Carlisle and the team struggling as they limped into the playoffs, his tenure as a Maverick hasn’t been memorable.

Now, he has been ruled out the rest of the series against the Rockets with a back ailment and his coach doesn’t think he’ll play in a Mavericks uniform again.

Still, in the right environment and right fit, Rondo can be a very valuable addition to any team with his tremendous passing ability and defense.

Throughout his career, he has been reported as occasionally difficult to play with and having attitude issues. He’s also going to command a pretty large contract in the off-season.

Despite all that, he has talent and if he ends up in the right home with players and coaches that will let Rajon be Rajon and do his thing, he could be a good pickup for a team looking to complete their roster as they make a run to the NBA Finals.

With plenty of teams in need of a point guard and someone to run the show on the court and set up teammates for open looks, which teams make sense to add the former NBA Champion?
