Billy Donovan is ‘doing research’ on Kevin Durant

Billy Donovan is doing research on Kevin Durant
With all the flurry around the league now about who will be the next coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder names have been dropped and the leading candidates tend to be Billy Donovan and Kevin Ollie.
Donovan is apparently wasting no time.
As many good coaches know and practice, the best system enhances what your team is already good at while taking advantage of what teams struggle with against yours.
Kevin Durant has a mismatch against anyone and it is hard to imagine him enhanced anymore, but until recently the system used to grow his talents has been a lass-faire type of approach. Scott Brooks implored a sort of “let superstars be superstars” approach. It is obvious the Thunder doesn’t not want this again, because if they did they would have kept the person who had been doing it for 7 seasons. So if this is the approach that got the previous coach fired, now it time to look into something different.

The coach that fills these shoes will have a heavy burden on their shoulders.
Whoever fills in for Brooks is going to be expected to win a championship, retain Kevin Durant, and install a more complicated system than your predecessor. He should probably also cure cancer, find out the key to world peace and discover the meaning of life.
Tall orders even think that this is a tall order.
There is also a lot of danger if this coach fails. This fictitious future coach will be blamed for Kevin Durant leaving, and blamed for the unraveling of one of the most talented teams of the decade.
So yeah Donovan, do your research, because your going to need it.
