President Barack Obama made a deflategate joke while the New England Patriots visited the White House.

The New England Patriots are visiting President Barack Obama at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl trophy.

This is a tradition for champions, and quarterback Tom Brady is getting so accustomed to winning Super Bowls that he didn’t even bother to attend it.

These events are light-hearted and Obama typically makes some jokes. You knew some Rob Gronkowski jokes were coming.

You might not have expected Obama to take a shot at the Patriots with the Deflategate scandal.

“I usually tell jokes at these things — but I was worried 11 of 12 of them would fall flat,” Obama joked.

It has gone from scandal to punchline and after thought. Seriously, it is just a joke and no one seems to take the whole scandal seriously any more.

Which to me seemed pretty ridiculous all along.

Obama wasn’t done making jokes, he trolled Patirots Bill Belichick pretty remarkably, saying “With that, Bill Belichick has agreed to have a press conference. He’s going to go on forever!”

He also made a joke about him being in a suit and not a hoodie earlier in the press conference, adding that the White House offered him scissors to cut the sleeves off.
